Top: Spruce Back: Brazilian Rosewood Sides: Brazilian Rosewood Machines: Best quality String Scale: 667mm Finish: Original Case: Original and in very good condition. Set up: gap between the top 12th fret and bottom of 1st string 4 mm gap between the top 12th fret and bottom of 6th string 5 mm approx 1.5 mm available at both 1st and 6th strings to allow further lowering of the strings. Finish: Top. Perfect apart from4 short scratches below the bridge (caused by breaking strings) Neck. Excellent ~ The is dead straight and only a bit of very light wearing (from thumb at 1st position) Sides: Very good condition ~ there is some "clouding" of the polish in several places- inner curve below (knee position), top of lower curve (where arm rests) and top of smaller curve.* Back: Very good condition ~ There is some minor "clouding" in several places.* * NOTE: THERE ARE SEVERAL APPARENT CRACKS IN THE SIDES - AT THE BASE IN PARTICULAR AND 2 ON THE BACK. ALL THESE WERE THERE WHEN I BOUGHT THIS GUITAR IN 1970 FROM FELIX. FELIX ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT AFFECT THE SOUND AND WOULD NOT CHANGE. AND OVER THE 40 YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT THEY HAVE NOT! There are no repairs and none needed. |
